Football, Boyscouts, Weight Watchers oh my!

Things are starting to get really busy with Mychaels schedule. He has now joined football, boyscouts, and band. So some days between practices and meetings it is a late evening. Hes loving it though and I told him as long as he kept up his grades he could do it all. His first game is this Tuesday so pictures will soon come :)

I went to my first weight watchers meeting this past week. It was pretty motivational and I am excited to go back on Tuesday. I think going to meeting will help me stick with it more then just the online program did. I did great while I did the online but sticking with it was a little hard when I knew no one would notice if I didn't stick with it. Now with someone weighing me each week it might be easier to stay with it. I have been really good about it so hopefully there is a good outcome. We got our confirmation papers for Jamaica this week also which motivates me even more :) Gotta lose it by April!

Brayden is going to my parents for the week and Mychaels dad is keeping him for the week so me and Dave are on our own next week! These are always nice to have every once in a while. This week we are staying out of town for 2 days (a nice surprise from my husband) and then hopefully getting some painting done around the house.

Well I waited and waited to run errands and now it is pouring...my punishment for putting it off. Gonna get ready now so we can go in the next break in rain. No new pictures this week :( sorry mom and dad!

Football Season!

Be prepared for an onslaught of football pictures. Its that time of year again. Mychael is once again a Maroon Eagle. They just started practices a couple of weeks ago and Im not sure when the first game is. Ill post as soon as I know. A kid broke his arm during practice yesterday and they tried to keep this info from me in case I would freak out. Luckily Mychael has a big mouth and told me anyway :)

Mychael also just started 4th grade. He has his first male teacher this year (Mr.Mayhall) and so far is loving school. It is a refreshing change from last year where he hated it. He is starting band this year and is really excited about that! He is hoping to play drums or trombone. Hopefully we find out soon which one. Ill keep ya updated! I PROMISE!! :) I know I have been bad lately.

First Hair Cut!!

Well we finally broke down and cut Braydens hair :( It was well overdue but it made him look like such a little man. He doesnt look like a baby baby anymore and I was hoping to keep him there forever. Guess thats impossible though *sigh*. So we took pictures of the whole thing. Daddy held him on his lap for it but he did so good! Brayden has always liked getting his hair combed so I think he enjoyed this. When he did finally get bored with it and got a little restless Kami (hairdreser) gave him chocolate and all was well with the world again. So here is the before and then all the during pictures..

I was sitting here working on the computer today and I looked up and this is what I seen. Brayden and Chopper laying together on the TOP of the couch looking out the window. They both stayed like this for quite a while. It was SO cute!

Its been so long!

So its been a long time since I have posted anything but in my defense I hadn't taken any pictures in so long I felt like there wasn't really anything to post. I pulled out the camera the last couple of weeks though and got some good pictures so I wanted to share.

This weekend was Memorial Day and to celebrate we went to Chester to have a bbq at my Uncle Eddie and Aunt Kims new house. The whole family gathered and we had a great time. I got to see my aunt and uncles new house which I love! Dave is already groaning because since we left I am ready to take out walls and paint at our house lol. We have had plans for a while to re-do the house but we haven't started anything yet. Now I am ready! Anyway!!! So we ate great food, spent some time with the family, played some washers, and all in all had a wonderful day. Here is some of the pictures from it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAYDEN!! (almost a month late)

I know I know...I have been a horrible blogger. It has been really busy around here and I havent really had the time to post. I did want to post though about Braydens 1st birthday!

My baby turned 1! I cant believe that a year has already went by. He has grown and changed so much in that year but it doesnt seem like it has been that long since we first brought him home. We celebrated his birthday with two parties. One in Granite and one in Chester. Amazingly I didnt cry as much as I thought I would. Dave made a beautiful dvd of the first year of Braydens life and put it to music. I sobbed like a baby watching it lol. Hes just getting so big so quick. He has brought so much joy into our lives and I can't imagine life without him. He makes us all laugh constantly at the silly things he does. I can't wait to see what the next year brings. Brotherly love

Even though Brayden isnt that old he already sees Mychael as his hero and idol and follows him EVERYWHERE! If Mychael goes to his room Brayden follows him and watches him through the gate (we had to block Mychaels room off or else he would be in there 24/7), or as soon as Brayden sees Mychael coming to the car after school he starts his "grunt talk" right away. It is so cute. Brayden can be in the crappiest mood and Mychael can cheer him up by walking in the room. It also seems that anything Mychael does is HILARIOUS to Brayden. Brayden cracks up at anything Mychael does and so we will try it to make him laugh and of course he looks at us like we are idiots. Mychael is the best big brother. There might be a little jealousy there every once in a while because of how time consuming a little one can be but you can bet that anytime Brayden does something cute Mychael is right there with us saying "awww" or talking about how cute he is. I couldnt have asked for two sweeter kids.

The high emotions are still going strong this week over Braydens first birthday. I was looking at these pictures today that I downloaded and started thinking about how great my boys are so I decided to blog it.

The first picture is my little piggy trying to get scraps from Mychael. He was just standing in front of Mychael staring at the food. Then he would squat down and look at it. Then stand back up. He was waiting for his moment lol. As soon as he thought Mychael wasn't looking he went straight for the burger. It was cute so I had to hurry and grab a picture. (As a side note...we do feed Brayden. hes just turned into a little piglet this week and wants to eat constantly! I was in the kitchen making mine and Braydens plate when this was taking place)

The second picture is of the other night. I was sitting on one couch and Mychael the other. We were all watching TV. Mychael grabbed Brayden up and Brayden laid on Mychael and they sat there watching TV. It was so cute! Brayden will barely lay still on us so it was really sweet that he snuggled up with Mychael for some TV time.

The third picture is right after I snapped the second picture. As soon as a flash goes off Brayden is ready to ham it up.

Almost a year later....this made me cry :(

Coming up on Braydens first birthday I am having some emotional moments. When I saw this picture of Harley sniffing out Brayden when we first brought Brayden home from the hospital it made me cry. He was so small. Time has flown by. I'm sure you will be seeing a lot of these over the next couple of weeks while I continue getting more and more emotional :)

If you are losing weight anyway...

Hey everyone...I am now doing weight watchers and it is going really good as far as me losing weight. Tonight as I was watching The Biggest Loser (because its one of my addictions!) I saw a pound for pound challenge. If you sign up for this then when the challenge is over they will donate 1 pound of food to a food pantry for every pound you lost!! What do you have to do? Go to the link, give your name and email and how much weight you think you will lose before the final date on it, and then come back at the end (May 1st) and let them know how much weight you lost in that time. How easy is that?!? This is a great cause and I immediately hit pause on the tivo and went to biggestloser.com and signed up. I figured if Im losing weight anyway I might as well have something really great come out of it (besides me dropping the weight finally!). So there is a link in the blog posted before this one that will link you directly where you need to go. I know a few of you that read my blog are doing weight watchers also so I wanted to make sure it got out there. If we are losing the weight anyway then how much easier can it get to do a really good deed for those in need?? I appreciate everyone listening.

Our poor cats. They are tackled daily by Brayden who of course thinks that both cats adore him and what he does to them. Chopper usually bites and runs (because he is evil!) but Harley (the big sweetheart) just lays still and lets Brayden attack. So I have taken a few pictures lately of some of the attacks and one of Brayden laying with Harley.
