Brayden + Amoxicillan = BAD

So today Brayden woke up with a horrible rash from head to toe. I called the doctor and they said to bring him in so they could see it. We couldn't think of anything different that we have done. Hes been on amoxicillan for the last 8 days for his ear infection but that was it. We did find out though that when your child has a rash they make you come in the back door of the office building and you are promptly put into a room and the doctor came in immediately...hmmm trick for getting in faster?!?! :) So the doctor determined that he was allergic to penicillin and that was what was causing the rash. Of course he looks horrible so of course Mommy had to take pictures to post on here for everyone to see!! He just looks so pathetic its cute!

P.S. I just realized that its kinda hard to see the rash unless you blow these up. If you click on it you can make it bigger and see it better. His legs have it the worst. Look at his poor little thighs

Mychael was on TV again!

Channel 5 came to Niedringhaus to do their "Salutes to Channel 5" and Mychael made it on tv. He was with his class saluting. It was really cute. Then I got on ksdk.com and looked it up and they showed all of the stuff they shot and in this one Mychael was in it a lot more then the one on tv so I thought I would post it for everyone that might have missed it. I think he is shown three or four times but in all but one of them he is behind the kid that is actually doing it so make sure to look behind kids.

A sick child is so exhausting

Hey everyone. So its been forever and a day since I have updated this thing. I haven't had a chance to download any new pictures. Actually I don't think I have really taken any new pictures. So for a while there I was sick and so I didn't really do much and didn't have much to say. Here lately Brayden has been fussy and clingy and so we finally took him to the doctor the other day and he has his first ear infection. Poor thing. So they gave him medicine to take. I figured within a few days he would be feeling better and on the road to recovery. Not happening! Since he has started the medicine he seems to feel worse. Poor guy is so unhappy and wants to be on you every second. It doesn't seem like that should be exhausting but it is. Yesterday he seemed to be better so I thought things were looking up. Then today he is worse then he has been so far. I feel so bad for him.

Mychael got to go on his class trip last Friday. They went to go see a symphony. When he first found out that's what they would be doing he was so disappointed and really thought it was going to be boring. I told him to give it a chance and as he learned more about what they were going to see he got super excited. Thursday night I could barely get him in bed. Turned out he loved it! I used that as a lesson to teach him to give everything a chance once. Then if you don't like it you don't have to do it again but if you don't at least try it you might miss out on something great. Its so nice when they make it easy to prove something to them :)

Here is my cute Mychael story.... so for Valentines Day his Grandma Marlene got all the grandkids some of those GIANT cards you can give to people. She gave Mychael three of them so he drew on one for me and Dave, my mom and dad, and then Mychaels dad and his girlfriend. Well we always give Mychaels dad a hard time and tell him that he needs to marry his girlfriend. I guess Mychael decided to take matters into his own hands and help his dad out. His dad called the house Friday asking if we had anything to do with their card. We said no. Mychael had sealed it before we ever seen it so we didn't have a clue what it said. He drew hearts and flowers in ours so I figured theirs was kind of the same. Not even close. Apparently Mychael took a dollar out of his piggy bank and taped it inside of the card. Then on the card he wrote "just buy her a ring man". When I heard this I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. I thought it was the sweetest, funniest thing I have ever heard! I am sure they will keep that card forever and always be able to look at it with a great memory. I think they would have bet money me or Dave had put Mychael up to it but it was 100% him. He is definitely a complete sweetheart. I attached the picture so you all could see it

Not sure how to put it right side up but....

Brayden walking!!!! Hes only 10 months old! Hes getting too big too fast for my liking. He started taking his first steps last week. Then he went and stayed in Chester for the weekend. He came home Monday and he walked a little bit after he got home and then about two hours later he became a walking machine. Now he walks everywhere! Room to room even. He barely crawls now unless hes tired or crabby. I wasn't ready for this so soon. Dave and I just keep watching him in amazement.
